The LPGA Race to the CME Globe in 2025 is an exciting season-long points competition designed to crown the top performer among LPGA members. Players accumulate points in every official tournament, with the goal of qualifying for the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, held November 20-23, 2025, at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida (Race to CME Globe). The champion of this event is named the Race to the CME Globe Champion and receives a record-breaking $4 million from an $11 million purse, the largest single prize in women's golf.
The season teed off on January 30 with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, won by A Lim Kim, who banked 500 points. Next came the Founders Cup on February 20-23, 2025, where Yealimi Noh clinched her first LPGA title and 500 points. As of February 25, 2025, these two lead the pack, though stars like Nelly Korda (320 points from a second-place finish) and Jin Young Ko (482.5 points across both events) are in hot pursuit. The 33-event schedule, boasting a $131 million prize pool, awards 500 points per standard win and 650 for majors, with the top 60 players (plus ties) advancing to the championship after the penultimate event.
Points come with rules:
only those making the cut in cut events or finishing all rounds in no-cut tournaments score, while ties split averaged points, and withdrawals get nothing. The Dow Championship awards team points, and the Mizuho Americas Open offers a unique top-65 twist. Adding heart, each hole-in-one triggers a $20,000 donation from CME Group to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, with a minimum $500,000 pledged. With months of competition ahead, the race promises twists, triumphs, and a thrilling finish.
