On May 3, 2025, the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) launched its inaugural College Draft on ESPNU, assigning 12 Golden Ticket recipients to four teams: Volts, Talons, Blaze, and Bandits. Hosted by Savanna Collins, with insights from Amanda Scarborough and Haylie McCleney, the event showcased top talent from 10 schools across three conferences—seven SEC, four ACC, and one Big 12.
The draft opened with Oklahoma pitcher Sam Landry, picked first by the Volts, joined by Florida State catcher Michaela Edenfield and LSU’s versatile Danieca Coffey. Arkansas’ power-hitting Bri Ellis headlined the Talons alongside Florida’s Korbe Otis and Mississippi State’s Raelin Chaffin. Virginia Tech’s Emma Lemley led the Blaze with Mississippi State’s Sierra Sacco and Duke’s Ana Gold. The Bandits selected Virginia Tech’s Cori McMillan, Texas A&M’s Emiley Kennedy, and Arizona’s two-way talent Devyn Netz.
